Navigate the menu control again, "File->Open".

Navigate to the next image in the dataset. "nn20.tif" in the "GREEN" folder.

Select the image and click the "Open" button.

Click on the image for a larger view.

Once the image is loaded you should see an image that is similar to this one. Note the change in brightness. The previous one was actually blue, because the LandSAT imagery is brighter in the blue spectrum, but we will be processing it as red in this step of the tutorial. The next step processes it as it's true color of Blue. You will understand more after you run through this tutorial completely. It may take a few times before you get the hang of it.

Click on the image for a larger view.

Press "Ctrl A" on the keyboard again to select the entire image.

Press "Ctrl C" on the keyboard to again copy the above selection to the clipboard. i.e. the entire image.

Switch to the new image you made on the previous page of this tutorial.

Press "Ctrl V" on the keyboard to again paste the clipboard image as a new layer into the current image.

NOTE: below you can see the multiple layers in the floating "Layers" tool window, you have pasted into this image. Right click on the layer name and navigate the popup menu to "Layer Properties"

Give the layer an appropriate name. "RED" for the first one.
