ETM+ Extraction & Organization

Using explorer browse to the location you saved the ETM+ files you downloaded.

You will need three folders for this exercise. "RED", "GREEN", and "BLUE". I recommend you make these folders in the same location you have been downloading the files into. This will simply the extraction process for yourself.

Right click and drag the file ending with the name "...nn10.tif.gz" to the "RED" folder.

NOTE: This is actually backwards! nn10.tif.gz is actually blue, and nn30.tif.gz is actually red. This will become apparent in step 3.

You should get a similar popup menu. If you have Winzip navigate to the menu option "Extract to here".

You'll get a popup window that looks like this.

Click the "Use Evaluation Version", or you can pay the $29. As you can see I've pressed the "Use Evaluation Version" button 116 times in 165 days.

Let the extraction process begin.
