We begin this step by first making sure that Winzip is properly configured.
Click on the "Options" menu selection.
Selection "Configuration".
You should get the following window:
Navigate to the "Miscellaneous" tab, far right.
Unselect "TAR file smart CR/LF conversion"
Click "OK".
Make sure you have the correct set of ETM+ tiles downloaded for this exercise.
This set will be using the following tile: P016R045 as shown in the image below.

Now we are ready to properly extract the GeoTif ETM+ image.
